Robert Lobe came to color photography in the late 1970’s from a painting tradition. He has a master’s degree in art history from Brown University. Lobe studied color photography at the International Center of Photography and in private workshops with master printer Jerry Vezzuso. He has had one-person exhibitions at the Soho Photo Gallery, Concepto Gallery (Brooklyn) and the University of Rhode Island. Ten of Robert Lobe’s photographs were included in the Queens Museum’s biennial exhibit “Queens International 2012.”
